Meet Our Staff:
Dr. Jay Cook: Senior Pastor
My Responsibilities at FBC:
To summarize it as best as I can, God has called me to work with this wonderful church as their pastor/undershepherd. I am to watch over the spiritual well-being of the church, to guide the staff, to relay God’s vision for the church, and whatever else needs to be done.
I have a beautiful, wonderful, brilliant wife: Kristi
I have two incredible, tireless children: Jameson & Amelia Rose
I love spending time with my family, reading, collecting coins, hunting & fishing, golf, woodworking, tennis, coaching my kids in sports…
When I came to FBC:

What music do you listen to?
Too many types to list here, honestly. I love many styles of music. Some that I can list off the top of my head are: The Gaither Vocal Band, Travis Cottrell, Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, Jonas Kaufmann, Placido Domingo, Franco Corelli, Guy Penrod, David Phelps, Larnelle Harris, and Israel Houghton.
What do you feel the Bible has to say about worship?
Revelation 12:7-11 says quite a great deal. Honestly, it’s simple. Our lives should be a continuous act of worship. Just like an Embassy is a little bit of America a long way from home… our lives and our testimonies should be a little bit of Heaven a long way from home. This is worship.
What is your favorite restaurant?
Sonny’s Real Pit Bar-B-Que!
What do you do for fun?
I love the Bible, studying apologetics, philosophy and history, spending time with family, and playing music.

If you could sum up what student ministry should be, what would it be?
Challenging students to think critically about the meaning of life. 2 Timothy 2:22 gives the best definition, in my opinion: Now flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.
